New! Carbon Ultra bar: lightness, strength and maximum performance.
Tested and perfected by multiple world champion Maxime Nocher.
Available with single-pulley mounting (leisure, mountain...) or double-pulley mounting (caissons, competition...). Made in France.
Whether for leisure or competition: the Carbon Ultra bar improves your performance. Perfect for pushing the limits of the low range and perfect for muscular conditions too!
This new carbon bar is ideal for those seeking optimum performance in all racing conditions: light, medium or strong winds.
The Carbon Ultra bar isn't just for racers: if you're foiling in very light winds, it will help you keep the kite up in the flats and allow you to go for the low range more safely. As the bar is lighter, the kite + bar assembly is less likely to stall and fall into the water.
Currently available in 4 sizes:
- 45 cm
- 52 cm
- 55 cm
- 60 cm
Other sizes may be available in the future. Let us know if you'd like the bar to be even shorter or wider... Based on your feedback, we'll be able to open new molds.
What bar width should I choose for my wing?
It also depends on the line lengths you use: short lines (12 meters, 13 meters, 15 meters...) or "normal" lines (17 meters, 20 meters, 22 meters...).
For example:
- 45 cm: 3 meters to 8 m2
- 52 cm: 8 to 12 m2
- 55 cm: 13 m to 15 m2
- 60 cm: 15 m2 and more
For short lines, you can use a slightly narrower bar.
Single or double pulley assembly?
Double pulley mounting
Double-pulley set-up allows for greater fine-tuning: you're twice as precise (gear reduction effect with 2 pulleys). You can really trim the wing to the centimetre.
What's more, the double-pulley set-up is associated with a 12 cm greater edge choquer than the single-pulley set-up.
Last but not least, a trim extension is associated with this set-up, allowing you to trim or untrim the kite while remaining notched with the foil, without having to straighten up to trim or untrim.
Clearly, this set-up is aimed at foil racers, but also at those seeking maximum performance.
Single pulley setup
The single-pulley set-up corresponds to a "classic" bar.
If you're a touring snowkiter with a single-skin kite like the Flysurfer Peak or Gin Marabout, you'll need a lightweight bar to carry around on the approach.
If you're foiling in very light winds with a battenless or single-batten bladed kite (e.g. F-One Breeze, Gong strutless, Ozone Uno, North or Duotone Mono...), the single-pulley set-up will certainly be the most natural for you.
If you're flying a Flysurfer Soul or Sonic, you can opt for either a single or double pulley setup. These kites work very well with a single pulley. Ditto for Aeros, Gin Shaman, HQ, PKD, Kitech, Ozone R1V1, R1V2, R1V3, R1V4, Pansh Aurora, Flymaax Toon ou Boon, etc.
Top-of-the-range lines in dyneema SK 99
If you're a competitor or looking for maximum performance in very, very light winds, we recommend race lines, resistant to 300 kg.
Otherwise, 495 kg lines are usually the best choice.
We pre-stretch the lines ourselves in our workshop. Consequences: no "chewing gum" effect, as is often the case with (considered) premium brands. The lines are rigid and the kite reacts instantly to the slightest bar effect.
Non-slip grip
Competing carbon bars often slip out of the hand when wet. To counter this, we've applied an anti-slip grip to the bar.
